Workshop 3 | Adapting to a changing climate: Examining inroads into climate resilience With physical climate impacts intensifying across every region, investors are increasingly examining inroads into growing markets in adaptation and resilience. While rapid emissions reductions remain the primary and most effective means of reducing long‑term climate risks, investing in adaptation has become an essential complement for managing the near‑ and medium‑term impacts already locked into the system. This session explores the current state of adaptation investment practice in public and private markets, examining how investors are assessing opportunities across sectors. A panel of investors will share insights on what drove their entry into adaptation, how they sized opportunities, and how they expect adaptation investments to contribute to performance. Participants will leave with clearer market signals and practical insights into investing in adaptation. |
